A complex style with intensity of citrus fruit and dried nectarines with more savory aromas of grilled almonds
and dried bread. This has depth and plushness with a fine texture and a long stream of grapefruit and lemon.
The palate is fresh, compact and complex with a build of spiced-almond, bread and grilled-lemon flavors,
ahead of a toasted almond finish. A blend of 50% Chardonnay from the villages of Vertus, Mesnil-sur-Oger
and Cramant) and 50% Pinot Noir from the villages of Verzenay, Tauxieres, Aÿ, Cumières and Avenay Val d’Or.
Drink or hold.
COLOUR: An inviting pale straw hue, not quite yet revealing or reflecting expectant tints of yellow/gold.
NOSE: Rich, opulent, majestic. Complex yet pure with subtle fresh tobacco leaf, freshly cut hay, unfurled honeysuckle and scents of crème brûlée, pomme au four, toffee-apple.
PALATE: A fruited-sweet attaque and then that seductive acidity – not camouflaged by a dosage at only 4 g/L. Faintly recognisable pecan and Brazil nut, apple and spice. Refreshingly expressive.
