Dark ruby purple. Nice nose of dark cherries and burnt toast but on the palate this seems a bit lean and acidic. There is also a bit too much oak for my taste but there is some good underlying material buried in there so it may all work out in the end. On this evidence, opened too early - come back in five years.~
