Classical and showing some development and tertiary notes, the 2013 Gran Malbec had two thirds of the volume aged in oak barrels for 18 months, while the rest was kept in stainless steel. It's polished, with resolved tannins and a dry, tasty finish. It doesn't feel like it's going to develop much more. 80,000 bottles produced.
Gran Malbec is a strong, full bodied Malbec. Its color is a limpid and intense purple. Its nose is open, dominated by fresh fruits, with touches of morello cherry, plum and cassis. In mouth it appears round and smooth. The tannis are particularly fine and velvety.
