Penfolds is undoubtedly the most famous wine estate in Australia, there are already different ranges of products in the large portfolio, however, it keeps launching new wines to make all the fans excited. And the one I want to share with you is Penfolds Cellar Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon.

Cellar Reserve range are limited productions wines created by Penfolds' chief winemaker Peter Gago, they were produced from selected grapes from the best appellation only in the best vintages. Once you uncorked the wine, you can immediately smell the complicated aromas of violet, clove and oak notes. You can also get a hint of brioche with butter. The Cabernet Sauvignon was sourced from old vines parcels in Barossa Valley. It has been aged in 100% new French oak hogsheads for 13 months. The colour is garnet red with intriguing and complex notes on the palate, including dried plum, beetroot and lots of black currant at the end. It is a full-bodied wine with great ageing potential.
