With 700 years of winemaking and 30 generation history, Frescobaldi is one of the major Tuscan wine empires in Italy. It has got wineries in Chianti Rufina, Montalcino, Montespertoli, Pomino and more under its umbrella to show the diversity of the territories. However, the family cannot complete the Tuscan wine map until they released the Perano Chianti Classico 2015 and Perano Chianti Classico Riserva 2015 recently.

Frescobaldi has been managed the 52 hectares of vineyards of Castello di San Donato since 2014, and acquired the estate in 2017 eventually. The wine has been renamed Perano and 2015 is the first commercial vintage.

Frescobaldi Perano Chianti Classico Riserva 2015 is made from 95% Sangiovese and 5% Merlot, aged in Slavonian oak barrels for 24 months. It exhibits cinnamon, black pepper, baked pear and black cherry flavours and earthy notes with smooth tannin.
