Guigal's 2016 Crozes Hermitage is bacony and peppery on the nose, with cherry fruit on the medium-bodied palate. It's not that rich or concentrated but easy-drinking and reasonably complex. It should be consumed over the next 3-4 years.
Dark and deep colour. Nose of red fruits, cherry and strawberry with delicate oak aromas. Palate is structured tannic wine with aromas of blackcurrant buds and vanilla. Remarkable freshness with notable and refined tannins to due long oak ageing.
