The 2012 Vosne-Romanee 1er Cru Aux Brulees comes from the domaine’s 1.14-hectare of vine that in 2012 yielded just four barrels, three new and the other 1-year old. It has a perfumed, floral bouquet with heady scents of dark cherries, black plum and miner
33% whole bunch. 50% new oak. Higher bit of the vineyard. Dark ruby. Rich and lively. Well done but not extraordinarily much better than the Clos d'Eugénie. Fine and racy. Jancis Robinson
Great texture and focus in this Vosne with dark berry fruit. Fairly oaky right now - there is 50% new oak in this wine. The 30% whole cluster used here adds depth and firmness. Good potential for the wine to evolve with time. By jeannie cho lee in 2013
