95-97 Barrel sample. A muscular wine, with well-defined tannins. The acidity is high, hiding the power and richness of the fruit behind. Then dark tannins come through, with other ripe fruits, finishing with a mineral character.

Fascinating aromas of crushed berry, plums, sweet tobacco and stones. Full bodied, with chewy and velvety tannins and a long, long finish. This is very structured and rich with a bright and tangy acidity. Needs time to come together, obviously. Try after

Mid crimson. Quite a light nose but lovely fresh tea and herbs on the palate. Real interest under here. This wine reveals itself successively via layers of flavour on the palate. Invigorating. Health juice. Lovely texture. Slightly dry on the end.
Wonderful vibrancy and lifted dark berry fruit. This wine is concentrated and intense but maintains its elegance and grace. Tannins are impressively managed with velvety texture and generosity.
