Bordeaux 2012
This year the En Primeur 2012 campaign started earlier than usual, with some bery nice surprises.
The Jebsen Fine Wine team were in Bordeaux again this year tasting all the new offerings of this very interesting 2012 vintage.
In general Merlot based wines had much better success in 2012 due do better ripening. Wines from Pomerol and Saint-Emilion for us are the most successful in this varied vintage. The right bank showed mored richness and density than the Medoc although some top Chateaux in the Medoc made some very good wines.
2012 was nowhere near as successful as the spectacular vintages of 2009 and 2010 but produced more than a few surprises. More and more wines are being released every day so if your favorite wine isn't listed below please send us your wish list and we'll be sure to notify you once it's available.
